White Owl Coconut is a 40 % ABV spirit produced by Highwood Distillers Ltd. in Alberta, Canada. It uses the base of their clear “White Owl” whisky — which is uniquely aged in ex-bourbon barrels and then filtered to remove colour, creating a crystal-clear whisky. To that base they add “all natural coconut flavours” for the Coconut variant.
Clear and colourless — the underlying whisky has been filtered to remove the typical amber colour, making this quite striking in-glass. You’ll likely pick up coconut aromas upfront (in the Coconut version), and underlying the base spirit: soft hints of vanilla, honey, mild rye or grain spice, and a light oak trace.
