Alley Kat Brewing in Edmonton, Alberta has developed a special rotating “Dragon” series of Double Imperial IPAs (DIPAs), each one built around a distinctive hop variety. For example, their editions include names like Red Dragon, Blue Dragon, Loral Dragon and more.
These beers tend to carry an ABV around 7.5 % and IBUs (bitterness) in the 70 + range. Hoppy and bold: depending on the specific edition, you’ll get aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, pine, resin, and earth.
